I’ve only just got home from work today, but he seems well. At the very least, he’s not getting worse.
He’s still eating which is good. As animals that graze a lot, an important warning sign that they’re critically unwell is if bunny stops eating.
He’s flopping around and sprawling out which is also good.
Rabbits do this when they feel safe and relaxed, so he’s not as distraught as he was last weekend.
He still has vision in his left eye. That’s good but it also makes medicating him a pain. We’re at that point where he sees the syringe or eye dropper coming and he runs and hides or clamps his mouth/eyes shut as hard as he can.
So he seems stable and well to me, but I’m no vet.
Our first follow up appointment is Saturday morning so I guess after that we’ll know for sure if he’s getting better or if he’s gonna need stronger doses to kick the infection out.
At the very least, he seems content.
